BENARD KAYI MAKHUYI

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sudden death of Benard Kayi Makhuyi which occurred on the morning of 21st May, 2022 through an accident at his place of work in Kakamega. Benard hails from Matende Village, Shirere Ward, Lurambi Sub-county in Kakamega County.

He was husband to Mrs. Margaret Murende Makhuyi. Son to the late Lairence Kayi Makhuyi and Mama Maria Shianyisia Makhuyi of Matende Village, Lurambi, Kakamega County. Father to Lauryne Makhayi, Dalmas Kayi, Cornelius Shieli, the late Triza Ambaya and Henricah Musavi.

Nephew to Angelina Lisutsa, the late Sofia Muyebeli, Difina Musavi, Cheldine Khamusali, Felistus Mubayasi and Lumumba shikuku from Imasaba Ishumanyiro.

Grandfather to lvana Wanja. Brother to Christine Muchiti, Antonio, Alex and Alfred Makhuyi.

Son-in-law to the late Adrian Shieli and Mama Beneta Musavi Shieli of Lirhembe Village Ikolomani, kakamega County. Brother-in-law to Paulstone, Pamelah, Evans, Kevin Lugonzo, Everlyne and Alwanyi. Neighbour to the late Mzee George Abura.

The cortege left Kakamega Referral Hospital Mortuary for a church service at Christ the King Catholic Church, Amalemba on Wednesday, 1st June, 2022 at 9:00am, then followed by an overnight vigil at his home. Burial will take place on Thursday, 2nd June, 2022.
