It is with deep sorrow and acceptance of God’s will that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Dr Hellen Nabwala Natu (PhD) on Sunday the 25th of September at MP Shah Hospital at the age of 67.

Born to Samson Nabachenja & Rispah Sifuma Makanda. Sister to the late Dr David Wafula Makanda & Granddaughter to the late Sarah Nabututu Makanda and Japheth Makanda.

Loving and caring mother to Sheila, Maureen, Cedric, Marilyn, and Melissa. She was a doting grandmother to David, Amani, Daniel, Tara, and Hellen. She was also an aunt to Brian, Philip and Moni.

Dr Natu was the Regional Manager of the Nile Basin Discourse (NBD) in Entebbe. Prior to this, an Advisor at the East African Grain Council (EAGC) in Nairobi, a Lead Specialist at the Nile Basin Initiative (NBI) in Entebbe and Bujumbura, Project manager UNOPS Entebbe, Senior Lecturer and, Researcher and Consultant in Agricultural Economics at the University of Nairobi, Consultant at the World Trade Organisation and Planning Officer at the Ministry of Trade and Industries.

Please join us at the All-Saints Cathedral, Nairobi,  on 27th and 28th September 2022 from 5pm – 8pm for funeral arrangements.
