It is with profound sorrow that we announce the sudden passing on of Mr Alex Michael Obondo Wanjira (AO/ bang’ wuod Awiti) on 21st February 2020.

Son of the late Lawrence Wanjira and the late Leonida Nyawanda. Beloved husband of Professor Margaret Akinyi Obondo and Pamela Akoko Mbogo. Loving father of June Obondo, Quincy Omondi, Christine Obondo, Susan Obondo, Iris Nyawanda and Hazel Obondo. Brother of Denis Ondeje, the late Ambrose Otieno, Monica Aoko, Albert Oyoo, the late Vincent Osino, James Nyawanda, Edward Okumu, Crispin Obondo and Judith Adhiambo. Grandfather of Adam Wanjira Omondi and jaeda-Amari Lutuka. Son-in-law of the late Enos Otedo and Priska Achola, the fate Jacob Mbogo and Hannah Mbogo. Brother-in-law of Linet Adhiambo Abuya, Robinson Odera Otedo, the late Elsama Okoth,Verina Anyango Odhiambo, the late Jabes Ochieng and Pamela Atieno Oyaro. Judith Olcungu, Jacqueline Mugo, Jane Mbogo, the late Emmanuel Mbogo, Evelyn Atieno and Redempta Mbogo. Uncle of many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.

Family and friends will be meeting daily at his home in Kileleshwa Tabere crescent 742B.

There will be a mini —fundraiser today 5th March 2020 at Technical University of Kenya from 5pm. Dates of the subsequent meetings shall be confirmed.

The main fundraiser will be on 10th March 2020 at The Foyer Restaurant, Ground Floor, NHIF Building at 5pm.

The burial will be on the 14th of March 2020 in Sakwa, Rondo.
