ARCH. JAMES KAMAU KAROGI

It is with deep regret that we announce the death of Arch. James Kamau Karogi (68 years), who died in the early hours of Friday, 7th May 2021 after a short illness.

Son of the late Noah Karogi Chege and Gladys Wambui Karogi (Magina). Brother of Annah Kimani, Margaret Mburu, Jane Maina, Dr. Joseph Chege, the late Grace Nzomo, Peter Gachie and Arthur Njuguna. Brother-in-law of Joseph Mburu, lsaack Maina, Dr. Mary Chege, Joseph K Nzomo, Linda Gachie and Rahab Njuguna. He was a devoted family man who cared deeply for his children and grandchildren.

Family and friends are meeting daily at the University of Nairobi, College of Architecture and Engineering (ADD Building) studio 108 off Mamlaka Road between 5.00pm and 6.30pm.

A memorial service organized by his colleagues at the University of Nairobi will be held on Thursday 13th May 2021 at 2.00pm, at the St Paul’s Chapel off State House Road. A live stream link to the service will be shared in due course.

His body lies at the Chiromo Funeral Parlour and there will be a viewing on Friday 14th May at 7.00am. Thereafter, his Funeral service and Burial will be held at Magina village, Lari Sub-county, Kiambu County at 10.00am.

The family wishes to particularly express their deep gratitude to his University of Nairobi Fraternity for their tremendous support while he was ill and during this period.
