Appreciation

We, the Family of Rev. Dr. W Mutahi Thuku of Chuna, Kitengela, wish to express our profound gratitude to the Almighty God for the blessing of a fulfilling life He extended to our beloved mama, the late Mrs Beatrice Wagura Mutahi.

We sincerely acknowledge the many expressions of sympathy, compassion, prayers, gestures of kindness and support to us following the fatal road accident that led to the demise of our Mama and the hospitalization of Dad. We offer our heartfelt thanks to our many relatives, friends, neighbours, colleagues, fellow church members and well-wishers who visited our home, attended meetings and fellowships, the various memorial services and ultimately the final journey at the burial in Muranga. Thank you for the emotional, financial and physical support offered us, in our distress and toughest of times, you have stood with us – with great devotion and sacrifice.

Special thanks to the organizing committee in Kitengela led by Eli Mwangi as well as the one in Muranga for your time, dedication and labour of love in ensuring that we gave mum a befitting send off. We are especially grateful for the Team from Holy Trinity Church & St Barnabas Kitengela, Well-wishers & Good Samaritans who were first to arrive at the accident scene. The Athi Complex Galaxy Hospital for first aid and ambulance services, Nairobi Women’s Hospital Kitengela, Karen Hospital and Montezuma Funeral Home, Kabati Special commendations to the entire Church Fraternity, the ladies and the men’s fellowships, Mothers’ Union, the various clusters for the great support during the home visits, the fellowships, the memorial services. These included; the Bishop’s Office – Kajiado Diocese, Holy Trinity Church, St. Barnabas, St. Paul’s Kandisi, Christ The King, ACK Emmanuel’s Church Wahundura, Board of Management – Wahundura High School, Nairobi Chapel Ngong Road, CITAM Embakasi and Mamlaka Chapel We take note of the Destiny Sisters for the catering support and organization at home and in church.

We acknowledge the overwhelming financial support from various sources which made our loss more bearable. Some of these included; friends from Chuna community, English Medium Class 1964, ICEA LION, Liberty Life, Old Mutual, MTRH, Eldoret Doctors, KDA North Rift group, Oral & Maxillofacial Society of Kenya, KEBS, New ladies, Aroma, Kotet Class of 97, BDS 2005, AHS Class of 99, Proverbs 31 ladies, Sheth Board, Nkondi friends, friends of Dr Gichuhi, friends of Mr & Mrs Waithaka, lsinya family and many others who contributed in various ways.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our profound gratitude You have, sincerely, made an otherwise very difficult season bearable, and for this we will always cherish you in our hearts. While we may not be able to repay your extravagant generosity, it is our heartfelt prayer that the Almighty God will recompense you abundantly.
