Catherine ‘Baby’ Achieng’ Ahuya

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing on of Catherine ‘Baby’ Achieng’ Ahuya on 23/03/2020 at Meridian Equator Hospital, Nairobi after succumbing to complications incidental to Sickle Cell. She worked at Humanity Rescue Foundation (HRF) as Administrator and Director of the Sickle Cell Program (Candle of Hope). She was also sole proprietor at Katys Collection and Director at Azuree World Limited.

Daughter of the late Camillus Osundo Ahuya and Beatrice Achieno Ahuya. Sister of Jeffrey Otieno Ahuya, Antony Onyango Ahuya, Maureen Achieno Oluoch, Nelly Achieng’ Juma, Duncan Robert Ahuya, Pauline Achieng’ Ahuya, and Brian Omondi Ahuya. Sister-in-law of Florence Mwashimba and Tabitha Orwa. Aunty to Mike Mwashimba Ahuya, Georgina Adhiambo Ahuya, Ivy Achieng’ Ahuya, Teddy Omondi Ahuya, Elma Nasambu Simiyu, Ariana Faith Oluoch and Ella Gathoni. Grand-daughter of the late Edward Ahuya, the late Pauline Washika, the late Peter Oluoch and the late Catherine Oluoch. Niece of the late Peter Agutu Ahuya, the late Eunice Ayugi Ahuya, Peter Odhiambo Ahuya, Theodora Bwire, their siblings and spouses. Cousin of Caroline Bwire, Lucas Okinda and others. Best friend to Mwende Mulinge.

The body leave’s Montezuma Funeral Home, Nairobi on Thursday 02/04/2020 at 5:30 am for _ interment at 1pm at their rural home in East Uholo location, Mung’ao sub – location, Uluthe village, next to St Antony Uluthe secondary school.
