It is with great sorrow that we announce the demise of our beloved Catherine Cherotich Kitony, which occurred on 20th May 2023 after an illness bravely borne.

Beloved wife to Hon. Lucas Chepkitony. Mother to Faith Jelagat, Janet Chemutai, Dr. Rose Jerop, Gladys Kigen, Maureen Jebet, Vincent Kipng’etich and Yvonne Jelimo. Mother-in-law to Jacob Tuikong, Abubakar Kiptoo, Dr. Oliver Ptallah and Sharon Kemboi. Grandmother to Rutto, Jullie, Lissa, Cherono, Norra, Shamim, Kibet, Isaac, Claire, Caleb, Kylian, Vienna and Kiprop.

Beloved daughter to the late Mr. and Mrs. Chemwolo Sogotio. Daughter-in-law to the late Mr. and Mrs. Chepkitony Sirwanei.

Sister to Lucia, Barnaba, Stella, Flora, the late John, the late Kimitei, Kwambai, the late Taptuwei, the late Tapsimer, the late Peter, Laurina, Francis, the late William, the late Rosa, Tapyotin, Christine, John (Lelan), Salina, Rael and Elizabeth.

Sister-in-law to the late Joseph, the late Matthew, Margaret, Paul, John, the late Francis and Salina.

Funeral meetings are being held daily at home in Rayfarm – Moiben (Eldoret) and Sirikwa Hotel (Eldoret).

There will be a fundraising on Saturday 27th May 2023 at home, from 2.00pm.

The cortege leaves Moi Teaching and Referral Funeral Home on 30th May, 2023 for Holy Mass and an overnight vigil at home. The burial will be held on 31St May, 2023 at home Rayfarm, Moiben Sub-county, Uasin Gishu County.
