CATHERINE NYAWIRA MUNYIRI

It is with humble acceptance and God’s loving will, that we announce the passing on of our beloved mother Mrs. Catherine Nyawira Munyiri, on 26th April 2021, after a long illness bravely borne. Daughter of the late Joshua Bachia Gichuhi and late Marion Muthoni Bachia, & late Monica Waburi Bachia.

Daughter in law to late Javan Kibira Guandaru and late Sylvia Nyandia Kibira, & late Eunice Wanjiru Kibira. Wife to late Joseph Munyiri Kibira. She will be forever cherished and missed by her children Susan Nyandia Olsen (Norway), and Anthony Muriuki Munyiri (Quantec Securities & Globetec Asset Managers). Mother in law to Ronny Olsen and Dr. Linda Namuhezi Muriuki. Grandmother to Dr. Andre Johanessen (Norway), Oscar Johanessen (Norway), Natasha Nyawia (USA), Melvin Munyiri, Michael Gitau, Mathew Bachia, and Neema Nyawira.

A dear sister to late Cyrus Muthui, late Moses Wanyeki, Crisphen Githogori, Jorum Kariuki, Grace Wangeci, John Ngugi, Roselyn Wandia (Norway), Sophia Nyawira, late Nathan Gicuhi, Ela Wangui, Eunice Wangeci, Dorothy Wanjiru, Nancy Wanjiku and Joyce Wangari. Sister in law to the late Lily Kingori, Grace Ndambiri, late Shelmith Wahome, Lily Muriuki, Late James Guandaru, Johnson Nyagah, Nancy Ndirangu, Purity Thogori, Justus Munyiri, Late Julius Wamae & Josphat Kamwere. A great blessed cousin & auntie to many nephews and nieces.

Daily prayers are being held at her home in TumuTumu, Mathira West Subcounty, Nyeri County, and at her Son’s home in Muthaiga North on Friday at 5.00 pm.

Burial will be held on Tuesday 4th May, 2021 at her home in Tumu Tumu.
