CHARLES K. OLESAMBU (CASTRO)

It is with great joy that we celebrate a legend with a colorful send-off and remembrance. Born on 7 July 1924 in Suguta Marmar to the late Sambu Ololtisat and Maria Tamutuol, fourth of five children, Charles ‘Castro’ Olesambu passed away on 22nd July 2021 at his home in Narok.

Husband to the late Peninah Eunice Olesambu and father to Peter Olesambu (Narok), Maria Lesoloiya (Poro), Joan Rampei Muoti (former Chief Principal of Statehouse Girls High School), Bosco Olesambu (Chief of Staff/ Acting County Secretary, Samburu County), Rosaline Ayim (Minnesota USA), Josephine Tata Djirackor (ELRIS Communications), Esterine Nenee (Nursing Officer, Narok County Referral Hospital), Emmanuella Olesambu (FAO Ethiopia) and Sophia Kutiti (Geologist).

His legacy is carried on by his nine children, 40 grandchildren, and 37 great-grandchildren. Our legend’s life has transitioned into legacy, we look forward to meeting again in our Father’s house.

Due to COVID- 19 protocols, there will be a virtual and physical gathering to honor him in Parklands Baptist Church, Westlands, Nairobi, on the 27th July 2021 at 10:00 am.

His internment at Bosco Sambu’s Siambu farm on Friday 30th July 2021 in Poro, Samburu County, will be live-streamed
