DR. KELLY AUMA NELIMA

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the untimely demise of Dr. Kelly Auma Nelima at the Aga Khan Hospital Kisumu, on 3rd February 2021 after a short illness. She was serving as Chief Officer Livestock, Veterinary and Fisheries, Kakamega County.

Wife of Mr. John Manyengo of KALRO Kakamega. Mother of Mercy, Mitchelle, Dennis, Geoffrey and little John. Doting grandmother of Leroy, Nailah and Jayden. Daughter of Mzee Geoffrey Makau and the late Mama Miriam Shikuku. Granddaughter of the late Shariff Nelima, the late Mwanamina Makokha, the late Abraham Mulama and the late Mama Doris Lutta. Daughter-in-law of the late Mzee Andrew Amusala and the late Leonida Ngaira. Niece of Mohammed Kunya, Ephraim Were, Francis Kadima the late Epher Omanyo, Elizabeth, Patricia, Grace, Christine, Edwin Mulama, among others. Sister of Janet, Margaret, Paul, Philip and Dan. Sister-in-law of Soli, Ursula, Jane, Vincent, Benedict, Christine, Christopher, Lucy, Ayub, Doris, Joyce and Koksi. Mother-in-law of Innocent.

The cortege leaves Kakamega County Funeral Parlor, on Thursday 18th February, 2021 at 10.00am for requiem mass at St. Joseph’s Cathedral Catholic Church Kakamega, starting at 11.00am. The cortege will then leave for her home in Kefinco village for an overnight vigil followed by a private funeral service comprising of the family, the church, friends and neighbors at Buteheli village on Friday 19th February, 2021, starting at 9.00am and burial thereafter at the same place.
