It is with humble acceptance of God’s will and profound sorrow that we announce the promotion to glory of Retired Prisons officer Mama Esther Martina Chepkeitany Cherop of Rock Centre, Eldoret.

Daughter of the late Cherop Chepkurgat, late Mokicho Chepkurgat and Kimoi Chepkurgat. Mother of Madam Beatrice Tilitei (Head teacher Nyawa Primary), Purity Chebet (MTRH), Virginia Cherotich (Portland Cement, Athi River), Ramadhan Kiprotich, Haron Koech (Tai Contractors, Eldoret) Judith Jepkorir (Eldoret). Mother-in-law of the late Moses, late Joseph, Musa Cherogony (PSC), Davis Mudanyi (Vihiga), Khadijah and Caroline (Ziwa Hospital).

Sister of Teresia (Kapchepmwetich), Florantina (Kapcheriwa), Raphael Cherop, Magdalena (Kapchesesio), Flomena (Kapsasit), Clara (Kapbusia), Scola (Kapchemararen), Bendetta (Kapmutei), the late Dominic Kurgat, late Rosebella Cherop, Salina (Kapchepneasurek), late Mohamed Kurgat, Maria Cherop, Magrina Indany, Joseph Kurgat and Christopher Kurgat. Grandmother of Kiplaa, Kevin, Daisy, Kipruto, Nicole, Kiptoo, Kiprop, Abigail, Shariffa, Nathan, Hughes, Nawal, Vugutsa, Ruweida, Andrew and Noah.

The cortege leaves MTRH Mortuary on Wednesday at 9.00am for a funeral service at KIMUMU Catholic church and thereafter a stopover at her Rock Centre home, at 3.00pm the cortege leaves for Kaptuli home for an overnight vigil.

Funeral service and burial will be held on Thursday 18th February, 2021, at her Kaptull farm, Uasin Gishu County.
