It’s with deep sorrow that we announce the rising to glory of Esther Mutave Makau, of Mbusyani Village, Maweli Sub-Location, Mwala Sub-County in Machakos County, on the 16th of October, 2021.

Daughter of Mr. Ulii and Mrs. Syevuo. Dear wife to the late Peter Makau Kieti. Co-wife to Agnes Katunge. Sister to the late Musyoki Ulii and Milka Kaluki. Sister-in-law of the late Simeon, the late Esther Kathule, the late Ruth Yula, Esther Mathei, Scholastica Ndungwa and Danielli Kioko.

Loving mother to Ruth Syombua, Rose Nduku, Paul Kyalo, Joyce Mukonyo, the late David Kieti, Eunice Kamene, Jeanette Kavata, Lynette Nzula, Ian Ndolo and Caroline Syevuo. Step-mom to the late Amanda Wavinya, Patrick Maitha, the late Brian Nzioki,Yvonne Mumbua and Belinda Syokau. Mother-in-law to Francis Makimei, Joyce Kavuli, Judy Wavinya, Martin Mutisya, Tony Mbelle, Ruth Mbatha and Peter Gathuru.

Grandmother to Philip, Triza, Betty, RoseAnn, Jackson, Wambua, Mbula, Shiro, Mbugua, Winnie, Muema, Brian, Sharon, Mike, Nzinzi, the late Dennis, Shakira, Tevin, Trevor, Davie, Regina, Steven, Makau. Adorable great-grandmother to Mutua, Nduku, David, Joy, Ariel, Antonio, Pablo, Esther, Frankie, Estherina, Sierra, Jonathan, Isaiah,Angie, Rachel and Chloe. Auntie, cousin and grandmother to many.

The cortege will leave Montezuma – Machakos, on Saturday the 23rd of October, at 0800hrs, followed by the burial at her residence in Mwala Sub-county, as from 11.00am.
