It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Mrs. Esther Wangare Karanja of Kiamunyeki Lanet – Nakuru which occurred on 8th March 2020 at Agha Khan Hospital.

Daughter of the late Peter Kabue and Salome Kabue, Leah Kabue and Naomi Kabue. Wife of the late retired elder Alfred Karanja Munyua. Mother of Beatrice Wangui Njoroge (new-Kihumbuini), Salome (Sally) Karanja (Nairobi Water), Grace Karanja (Houston USA) and the late Henry Munyua. Mother-in-law of Willyton Thairu (Kangemi) and Leah Wanjiru. Sister of the late Samwel Thumis, Njiraini Hirum, the late Wangare’s I and 2 and Thumi’s, Grace, Kamicha, Njuguna (Kapchorwa), Mathea, Mkabue, Mugo Leah, Mugo Naomi, Nyambura, the late Sera and the late Mutungu. Sister-in-law of the late Kimani, the late Wanjiru and the late Mumbi, Ngige, Gichuki, Waithera, Kinyanjui, Geoffrey Nganga, Geoffrey Ndugi’s, Njeri’s, the late Thuo, the late Muthoni, Wanjiku, Gachui’s, Kariuki, the late Kabura, Mwaura — USA, Wanja UON, Waweru — Canada, Mukami Australia, Wangare and Walrimu — USA. Grandmother of Allan Thairu and Martha Wanjiru, Adrian Karanja, Teddy Karanja, Telvin Karanja, Jilviana Njoroge, Stacy Wangare, Lenora Wangui. Great grandmother of Travis and Theon. Auntie to many in Kabue’s Family, Mbono’s family, Munyua’s Family, justino’s family and many others.

Friends and relatives are meeting for prayers and funeral arrangements at her Kiamunyeki Residence-Nakuru daily from 4.00 p.m, Kangemi Thairu wa mubia at 5.30 p.m, and PCEA Syokimau on Friday 13th March at 6.00 p.m, and Garden Square — opposite City Hall on Thursday 12th March at 6pm.

The cortege leaves Umash Funeral Home Nakuru on Tuesday 17th March 2020 at 8.00 a.m for a burial service at PCEA Kiamunyeki, Lanet Nakuru and thereafter burial at her home in Kiamunyeki.
