EX WOII MELITUS OKWIRRY

It is with deep sorrow and acceptance of God’s will that we announce the demise of Ex WOII Melitus Okwirry, popularly known as Major; which occurred on 5th October, 2021.

Son to the late Dismus Ogola and the late Susana Oyuga. Husband to Mama Consolata Okwirry of Asembo and Mama Florence Okwirry of Uyoma Kagwa. Brother to the late John, the late Leonard, and Mary Arwa. Beloved father to the late George Otieno, the late Plister Anyango, the late Millicent Atieno, the late Celestine Apiyo, the late Vincent Akoko, Catherine Akumu-Ndong’a, Hon. Susan Okwirry – Sino (MCA West Gem Ward), Rael Amondi, Hilda Akinyi, and Consolata Akoth. Father-in-law to Fred Onyango, the late Meshack Ochieng’, the late George Omoso, Abiud Ouko (MUSCO), Nelson Sino (KERRA), Peter Mumbe (Manna Ministries Intl.), and Elizabeth Otieno. Loving grandfather to 21 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

The cortege leaves St. Elizabeth Lwak Funeral Home on Friday 15th October 2021 at 6:00am. Burial will take place on the same day at his home in Langi Village, Uyoma Kobong, Rarieda Sub-county.
