FESTUS MERETOI GIDEON MNENE

It is with great sorrow and acceptance of God’s will that we the family announce the death of Festus Meretoi Gideon Mnene. He passed away at Kenyatta Hospital on 24th November, 2021, after a short illness.

Son to the late Gideon Kondo Mnene and the late Miriam Hache Mkimbo. Brother to the late Friday Mnene, Nairo Mnene and Constance Mnene.

Beloved husband of Elly Mnene. Loving father to Hache Mnene Mutuku, Cleofa Mnene Faraj, the late Gideon Mnene, the late Nairo Mnene, David Mnene and Adel Mnene. Caring father-in-law to Kibet Faraj and Peter Mutuku.A blessed grandfather to Grace, Dante, Baraka, Talu and Imani.

Son-in-law to the late Amos David Kimaro and Cleofa Masuai Kimaro. An uncle, cousin and grandfather to many.

Family and friends are meeting on 29th and 30th November, 2021, at All Saints’ Cathedral Church from 5:30pm to 8:00pm and the main fundraising will be held on 1st December, 2021 at All Saints’ Cathedral Church, from 5:30pm to 8:00pm.

There shall be a church service to commemorate his life on 2nd December, 2021, starting at 1 0:00am, at St John’s Church ACK – Pumwani.

The cortege will leave from Montezuma Funeral Home for Taita Taveta County on 3rd December, 2021, at 7.00am.The funeral service shall be held on 4th December, 2021, starting at 10.00am, followed by the burial at his home in Darajani, Timbila Taita Taveta County.
