FESTUS MUCHOMBA IRAMBU

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Mwalimu Festus Muchomba Irambu, which occurred on 17th May, 2021.

Son of the late Mwambia Irambu and the late Ruth Ciegoki Mwabu and co-wife Mary Mwimbi M’lnanga. Foster son to the late Phineas M’Maguta. Loving husband to Agnes Mwari and Stella Mwenje. Cherished father of Muturi, the late Kinyua, Ken Kiura (Kenkana Entertainments, Nairobi), Moreen Kawira, Francis Mugambi (Munyu High School, Thika), Muthoni, Gitonga (Kenya Pace Service), Ngai, Mutegi, Kagendo, Mutugi, Gaceri, Gacoka, Karimi, Gitundu and Niue. Foster father to Mwathi, the late Mbura, Kinyaki and Mwithi.

Beloved brother of the late Njeru, the late Kaburi, Gaciri and Grace Gakunga. Beloved father-in-law of Kageni, Christine, Joyce, Fridah, Rosemary, Regina, Mutiiria, Karanja and Njagi. Beloved brother-in-law of the late Kangai, the late Kiondo and Mwalimu John Kiura. He was full of love and compassion for his extended family and a treasured Teacher, grandfather, uncle, mentor and friend to many.

Funeral arrangements are ongoing at his home in Gankinya Village, Mutino-Kathwana, Igambang’ombe, Tharaka Nithi County as well as Delfirm Hotel, River Road, Nairobi daily from 5.00pm.

The cortege leaves Gakwegori Funeral Home, Embu on Thursday 27th May, 2021 at 8.00am for burial at his rural home in Gankinya Village, Mutino-Kathwana, lgambang’ombe, Tharaka Nithi County.
