FESTUS MUTHANGA KIGANKA

1940 – 2022

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Festus Muthanga Kiganka on 3rd January 2022 at Kenyatta University Teaching Referral and Research Hospital after a long illness. He was a distinguished retired teacher and former KTDA Weru Tea Factory Chairman.

He was the son of the late Njeru Kiganka M’Kiambati and the late Nini Ciangoci. Beloved husband to Hellen Ciangai, the late Purity Ciambaka, and Joyce Kaari. Father to Gitonga (Chuka), Murithi (Chuka University), Mutembei (Nairobi), Kinyua (PCEA Kiereni Boarding), Mugambi (Nairobi), Lucyline (Toddy Engineering), Munene (Ciambaka Chemist), Muthomi (Nairobi), and Mawira (KCIC). Father-in-law to Lucy, Gladys, Medline, Sharon, Anastacia, Janis, and Ruth. He had many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

The , cortege will leave Kenyatta University Teaching Referral and Research Hospital (KUTRRH) on Friday, 14th January 2022 at 6:00 am and later (12:00 Noon) for a Church Service at Kericho Prayer House and burial rites at his homestead in Kericho Village, Njuri Sub-location, Magumoni Division, Meru South Sub-county, Tharaka Nithi County.

Daily prayers, service and meetings are being held at his homes in Gitwaka and Kericho villages.
