Son to the late Livingstone Mbavu Muthuku and Late Elizabeth Watheri Mbavu. Brother to Eunice Mbavu, the Late George Mbavu, Josephine Safari and the late Charles Mbavu. Husband to Consolata Mueni Makau. Father to James Makau (The Cooperative university), Daniel Makau (Mnarani club) Douglas Makau(Thika), Hazel Makau(Bishop Ndambuki EDU Centre.), Dennis Makau (Thika ) Florence Makau(Diameco Company Ltd).

Father in-law to Carolyn Mbavu, Juliah Musai, Jane Kiboi, and Gladys Muthuku. Grandfather to Kelvin, Hope, Osteen, Felix, Frank, Deborah, Shannel, Gregory, and Daniella.

Brother-in-law to A.B Safari, Dorothy, Elijah, late Mang’uu, Late Esther, Loko, late Christine, Francisca, and Stella. Uncle to Victoria, Hazel, Elizabeth, Kenga, Nicholas, Jackline, Michael, Nthenya,Watheri, Naomi, the late Muema, Mutambuki, Fridah, Syombua Nzembi and many others. In-law to Solomon Mahigah, Duncan Gakari, Felix Munene and Joseph Mirara.

The cortege leaves Jordan Funeral home Kitui on Saturday 25th September 2021 at 8am for burial at his home in Kyanzou Village, Wikililye location, Katulani subcounty, Kitui County.
