Hannah Nyakio Wamakima (Wamuregi)

It’s with humility and acceptance of God’s will that we announce the demise of Hannah Nyakio Wamakima (Wamuregi) of Mount Kenya University (MKU), formerly a Teacher in Kinyogori and Ngenia High Schools which occurred on Thursday, February 27, 2020 at Nairobi South Hospital after a short hospitalisation.

Beloved wife of Prof. Francis Wamakima Muregi (MKU). Mother of Erick Muregi and Brian Karinge (Kabarak High School). Daughter of the Late Karinge Kiongo and Esther Waruguru Karinge. Sister of the late Joseph Njoroge Karinge, Keziah Wahu (Kiserian) Grace Nganga (Kinyogori High School) Peter Kiongo(Likana Sacco), Elizabeth Karinge(St. Christopher High School), Joyce Karinge (Cognizant Ltd), Nicholas Karugu (Ndeiya). Daughter in Law of Wilfred Muregi and Teresiah Wangui. Sister in Law of Mary Kanuthu (Nakuru), Pauline Nyambura (Nakuru), Elizabeth Nyakio (Uplands), Peninah Nyambura (Nakuru), Rev. John Karanja ( Full Gospel Church, Uri), George Ndungu Muregi (kagaa) and Julia Kiongo (Absa Bank).

Friends and relatives are meeting daily at their Nyambari Uplands Home from 4 p.m for prayers and Funeral arrangernents.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, March 2, 2020 at the Indoor Arena MKU Main Campus, Thika from 12:00 to 2 p.m.

The cortege leaves Uplands Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at 9.00 a.m. for Prayers at Full Gospel Churches of Kenya, Nyambari grounds followed by interment at their home in Nyambari village, Uplands.
