INNOCENT KATU

(1992 — 2022)

With deep grief and strong hope, we announce the death of Innocent Katu, which occurred on 11th April 2022 through a fatal road traffic accident in Nakuru.

Son of David Mulo Katu (Machakos County) and the late Rita Osimbo. Step-son to Immaculate Mulo.

Brother to Johnny and Neema Weche (ACC, Mbita Division), and Angela Nduku and Meshack Ngaku (Nakuru Barracks).

Brother-in-law to Rose Weche, and Eng. John Mwangi Kanyingi.

Grandson of the William & Emily Nandwa (both deceased), David (deceased) & Margaret Openda, Martin & Amimo (both deceased), George & Jane Weche, Stephen & Millicent Ambetsa, Henry & Grace Weche, Peter & Forence Weche, Ruth Weche, and others.

Nephew of Esther Akwabi, Charles & Jael Ambetsa, late Francis Lubanga, Mary Makokha, Aggrey & Margaret Lugalya, Alfayo Weche, Willy Kimondiu, Martha Mosu, Julius Mutua, and others. Cousin to Margaret Omuronji, Peter Kulecho, Rebecca Eshimuli, James Weche, David Openda, Emily Omufisi, Melody Lugalya, David Lugalya, Gloria Lugalya, Noela Christine, Emily Kisia, and others. Uncle to Abilia Muhau,Ardell Mushashu, Katherine Wanjiku Mwangi, abali Mwangi, Baraka Kibunja, Mercy Mbeke, and Katu David. Step-grandfather to Layla, Kiio, and Kalendi. At the time of death, Innocent Katu was employed at the Ministry of Education as a schools auditor, based in Nakuru. He will be remembered for his genuine spirit, kind heart, and presence as a friend.

A Memorial Service was held at the ACK Cathedral of the Good Shepherd Church – Nakuru – at 2.00 pm yesterday, Thursday 21st April, 2022.

He will be laid to rest on the morning of Saturday, 23rd April, 2022 at Namasoli Village, Kisa Central Location, Khwisero District, Kakamega County.

May Eternal light shine on them, Lord, With your saints for ever, for you are good. 

Give them eternal rest, Lord, And may light perpetual shine upon them, perp for you are good. Amen!
