JAMES MUKERE NJERU

1943 – 2022

Sorrowfully, we announce the death of Mr. James Mukere Njeru. He was son to the late Njeru Mukere &J oyce Mumbi (Karigo) of Githakwa.

He was a son-in-law to Irungu Kihuni & Gathoni Irungu of Mweiga, Nyeri. He was husband to Mary Wanjiru Mukere.

Father to Jane Mukere, Njeru Mukere, the late Irungu Mukere & Waceke Irungu, Muthoni Mukere, Waruinge Mukere & Mary Mwangi, Kihuni Mukere &Waceke Kihuni and grand father to many.

He was brother to the late Waruingi Njeru, the late Wanjama Njeru, the late Nyakinyua Njeru, Eunice Wamucii Gitonga, Ndegwa Njeru & Wambaire Njeru. He was a step-brother, brother in-law and uncle to many.

Meetings are being held daily at the family home in Njeng’u Village, Nyeri.

Meetings in Nairobi will take place today, Friday 6th May 2022 & Monday 9th May 2022 at Blue Springs Hotel along Thika Road.
The cortege will leave Nyeri Funeral Home (next to Outspan Hospital) on 11th May 2022 at 9.00 a.m for burial at the family home in Njeng’u Village, Nyeri.

Death is not extinguishing the light, it is putting out the lamp because dawn has come.
