JOHN KARIITHI NYOIKE

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of John Kariithi Nyoike of Kangemi Village Inn Mountainview ward on 28th February, 2023 after a long illness bravely borne. Kariithi a pioneer in the matatu business and was one of the founders and directors of Super Metro Limited.

Loving husband to Mary Wanjiku Mwangi. Father to Alice Ngima Kariithi, Jane Waithera Kariithi, Judy Wairimu Kariithi and Beatrice Wangari Kariithi. Grandfather to Djibril Blessing, Racheal Wanjiku, Jasmine, Amari and Kiran.

Son to Nyoike Wachira and Alice Ngina Nyoike. Brother to Charles Kinyua, Ann Wanjiku, Elizabeth Wanjiru, Duplex Kahuthu, the late Peter Weru, the late Samuel Thuo, the late Wamaitha and David Njogu. A cousin, an uncle, an in-law and a friend to many.

The late Kariithi will be laid to rest today Wednesday 8th March 2023. The cortege will leave Montezuma Kabati at 7.00am for burial at his ancestral home in Kagochi, Nyeri.

Philipians 3:20-21: But our citizenship is in heaven and we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ who by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body.
