It is with deep sadness and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Mr. John Samuel Munyekenye, on 7th September 2022.

Son of the late Thomas Musungu and Elizabeth Okubi of Okatekok village Nambale Sub-County. Loving husband to Paskalia Munyekenye, Wilfrida Nafula and Phaustine Mary Namenge.

Father to the late Joseph, Robert, Francisca, Charles, Francis senior, the late Antony, Francis, Patrick, Celestine, Everlyne, Joyce, the late Agnes, Lydia, Sylvia,Thomas, the late Nancy and Sharlet. Brother to the late Maria, the late Mathias, the late Regina and Hellena.

Father-in-law to Humphrey Obanda, Benard Wafula, Lilian Thomas, and Michael Omondi among others.

Son-in-law to Egesa Emelait, Wilson Namenge and the late Margaret Dindi. Brother-in-law to Lazaro, Calory, John, Joninah, John, George, Fridah, Gladys and Roselidah.

Grandfather to Trezicious, Beryl, Reason, Ruel, the late Gravin, Blessings, Bradly, Belvah, Megan, Love, the late Miguel, Hansen,Wayne, Sonia, Moses, James, Mourine and Gigs.

Family and friends are meeting daily for prayer at his home in Okatekok Village Nambale Sub-County Busia County from 4.00pm.

The cortege leaves St. Francis Funeral Home on Friday, 23rd September 2022 at 10.00am for a requiem mass at Okatekok Catholic Church. Burial takes place at his rural home at Okatekok Village, Nambale Sub-County, Busia County on Saturday, 24th September 2022.
