It is with humble acceptance of God’s will, that we announce the promotion to Glory of Mrs. Joyce Aluoch Wekesa on the 05 – 02 – 2020 at the Aga Khan Hospital Nairobi. She hailed from Mukweya village, Matungu District in Kakamega County.

She was a loving wife of the late James Richard Wekesa. She was daughter to the late Ernest Orego Ayieko and the late mama Ruth Akoth Ayieko who originated from South Ugenya in Siaya County before settling in Mukweya. Sister to: the late Hannington, Jim, Moffat, Dorah, Margret, George, the late Elizabeth, Ben, Willis of the late Dr Patel.

Sister in law to: Daniel Tendeni, Ernest Wabwile and Machi Wanjala among others. Mother to: Dorah Akinyi, Geoffrey Wekesa, Lucy Bikala, Roseline Maruti, Fredrick Wekesa, Linnet Etete, Carolyne Munala, Pamela Wekesa, Daniel Wekesa and Dorothy Peter.

Mother in-law to: Andrew Tombo, Edward Kibala, Bramwel Maruti, Winstone Etete, Harrison Munala, Apostle Peter Manyuru, Juliet Wekesa, Phylis Wekesa and Phraxidis Wekesa. Grandmother to. Terry, Sussay, Steve, Fridah, Job, Shagwil, Derrick, Dazwel, Christabel, Darren, Desmond, Calvin, Eugene, Wayne, Cynthia, Paul, Linda, Brian Lennah, Tonny, Ivy, Meloy, Lavina, Herman,Yvette, Fiona, Ryan, Laura, Precious, Melvine, Rich, Lavine, Reagan, Denzel, Lovy, Joyquincy, Christian, Joshua and Gianna. Great Grandmother to: Naila Joy, Imelda, Ras, Winslet, Arson.

Family and friends are meeting for prayers daily at her Kabula home from 2.00 p.m.

There will be a major fundraising on Sunday 16th February 2020 at the Kabula home behind Kabula Primary school starting at 1.00 p.m.

On Monday 17th February 2020, cortege leaves Life care hospital mortuary at 10 a.m and proceed to a service at Saint Chrispins Cathedral Bungoma from 11.00 a.m. The body arrives home for a one day stay, thereafter, burial will follow on Wednesday 19th Feb.2020 at Kabula home next to St.Teresa Kabula Sec. School.
