Appreciation

We, the family of the late Lawrence Nginyo Kariuki wish to express our heartfelt gratitude and deepest appreciation for the prayers, visits, messages of condolence, encouragement and support offered to us following the passing on of our beloved husband, father, brother, uncle and grandfather.

Our special thanks to His Excellency the President of Republic of Kenya, Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta and Her Excellency Margaret Kenyatta, the First Lady of Republic of Kenya. Our appreciation to all the doctors and nurses who made it their singular dedicated effort that all medical options were explored and implemented. In particular, Dr Andy Palmer, Dr Michael Anderson and the entire nursing team of the Bupa Cromwell Hospital. As well as Dr Eric Murunga, Dr Peter Waweru, Dr Chacha, Dr George Jumbo, the Warshow team of doctors and the Intensive Care Unit nurses from the Aga Khan University Hospital, Nairobi. We convey our sincere appreciation to Parklands Kidney Centre fraternity Dr Twahir and the team of doctors and the nursing team led Ms Susan Mmbwanga, for the excellent care accorded for comfort during the numerous dialysis sessions. We thank all the care givers at home for their love and care over the years. We extend special thanks to the dedicated members of the funeral committee led by Archbishop Gerry Kibarabara.

We appreciate and thank the staff of the Office of the First Lady of the Republic of Kenya and the Beyond Zero office. We thank, the Catholic church in particular St Joseph Limuru Parish, the Prince of Peace, Benedictine Monastery Tigoni, the Christian community of St Augustine. To the Ting’ang’a Catholic Choir, St Peter and Paul and First Borns Christian Centre Gachie choirs we extend our appreciation for your melodious singing. Special thanks to our extended loving family Mbari ya lkonya, devoted friends, community of support in Tigoni, Kiambu and from the United Kingdom.

We thank our service providers for effectively and efficiently providing excellent service. Thank you for taking the time to comfort and walk with us every step of the way throughout this difficult time of mourning. As it is not possible to mention you all by name, please accept our most sincere and deepest gratitude for your unwavering love and support which continues to sustain us.
