MAMA MARIA ATIENO OWADI

With humility and acceptance of God’s will, the family is announcing promotion to glory of our loving mum, Mama Maria Atieno Owadi of Ondome/Nyamasare Village, Kamgundho Location, Uriri Constituency, that occurred on 8th February, 2021, after an illness bravely born.

Daughter of the late Bernadus Genga and the late Regina Apondi. Loving wife of the late Sabastian Owadi Oriama of Nyamasare village. Loving mother of Petronala Ojwang’ (Kamenya), Madam Pacifica Omogi Kanyadera Pr. School, the late Domnic Otieno, Bernard Owadi (UNWFP, Nigeria), Madam Esther Owadi (Kolanya Pri School) and the late Triza Atieno. Mother-in-law of the late Mary Aoko, Rose Otieno, Mary Midida (Migori County Govt), the late Clr. Lawrence Ojwang, Japuong Alex Omogi, Augustine Okong’o and the late Okanda

Sister of the late Omondi Genga, the late Cosmas Genga, the late Theresia Oloo, the late Onyango Genga, and the late Paul Genga. Sister-in-law of Jaoko Oriama, Lazaro Oriama, Rev Isaiah Oriama, the late Okode Oriama, the late Snr. Chief Midega Oriama, Onyango Oriama and Bernard Oriama (Maersk line Nairobi). Grandmother of Fred, Winnie, Caro, Ben, Sabastian,Vero, Francis Omogi, joy, Rolex, Brian, Francis Owadi, John-Robert, Flavian, Michelle, Stephanie, Hesbon, Sonko, Vincentiah Chris, Nick and Pheny. Auntie of many, the Oriamas and the Gengas.

The cortege leaves Migori Referral Hospital, on Thursday 18th February, for prayers at St, Joseph, Rapogi catholic Church and later for overnight vigil at her home. Burial will be at the family home in Ondome/Nyamasare of Kamgundho location on Friday 19th February, 2021 starting at 9.00am.

Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see the Lord (Mat 5:8).
