MARGARET APIYO ASEWE

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the demise of our sister, Mother and Auntie Margaret Apiyo Asewe (formerly of Oxfam) which occurred on 3rd July 2022 after long illness bravely borne.

Daughter to the late Mwalimu James Okumu Ngwawe and Elizabeth Adhiambo. Mother to Jackline Awino, Liz Aballa, Dennis Ochieng. Auntie to Rose, Beverly and Mike. Grandmother to Cecil and Maya.

Sister to John Otieno, Wilfreda Ngwawe (twin), Carol Ngwawe, Charles Oduor, Godfrey OoKo, Jacktone Nyafwanga, Chrispine Ngwawe, Dr. Roseline Atieno, Lilian Obuo, Eunice Ngwawe, Christine Ngwawe, Roselyne Okumu, Nelson Ngwawe, Dorine Ngwawe, Linda Okumu, Austine, Pauline, Mildred, Milton, Edwin, Josephine, Maggy.

Cousin to the Oloos. Sister-in-law to Korondo Sammy, Awandos, Obuos, Nyabandas, Oweas, Arnalias, Olangs.

A fund-raiser to offset medical expenses will be held at All Saints Cathedral on Saturday, 9′ July, 2022 from 2.00pm to 4.00pm. Contribution may be sent to: 0708 838 902 (Christine Ngwawe).

The cortege will leave Aga Khan Mortuary – Kisumu on 15th July, 2022 at 10.00am followed by requiem Mass at Nyawita Catholic Church – Kisumu and burial on 16th July, 2022 at Masiro Nyamila, Ugenya Sub-county, Siaya.
