MARGARET WANJIRU

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Margaret Wanjiru of Kayole Nairobi, after a short illness bravely borne.

Beloved wife of the late Augustine Muigai of Kahunira, Githunguri. Beloved daughter of the late Nelson Mukora (Gakunga) and the late Leah Njoki (Nyanjau) of Muongoiya. Loving mother of James Gitau (Kahunira, Githunguri, Kiambu), Dr.Teresiah Wambui Gathenya (Gathanga Kiambaa, Kiambu), the late Jennifer Njoki, Nicholas Mukora, and Rose Muthoni, all of Kayole, Nairobi. Josphine Wangui (Joska, Kamulu). Sister of the late Fredrick Kabena (Tigoni), the late Peter Rugano, Rose Muthoni, the late George Nganga, the late Leornard Kimani, the late James Mbuthia and Geoffrey Ndigi, (all of Muongoiya, Kiambaa, Kiambu).

Mother-in-law of Peter Gathenya Gichuri (Gathanga), Teresia Wanjiku Gitau (Kahunira), Jane Njeri Mukora (Kayole), the late James Njuguna Nguni (wa Nyahangi) (Muchatha). Loving grandmother of many including, Muigai & Wanjiru (Githunguri), Sheila Wakanyi (UK), Augustine Muigai (Canada), Loise Wangari Katana (Mombasa), Kangethe & Muigai Njuguna, Wanjiru & Muigai Mukora, Wanjiru (Australia) & Kinyanjui,Wanjiru & Ndichu Muthoni (Kayole). Loving Auntie, grandmother and great-grandmother to many.

Friends and family are meeting daily for funeral arrangements at Kahunira, Githunguri and at her home in Kayole, Nairobi starting at 5.00pm.

The cortege leaves Kenyatta University (Old) Mortuary, at 9.00am on Friday, 19th February, 2021 for burial service at I 1.00, in Kahunira, Githunguri, Kiambu County.

Maitu, Cucu, Tata, you have fought a good fight, you have finished the race and have kept the faith. May you rest in peace.
