With profound shock and sadness, we announce the death of Marshall Onyango Omondi, of cardiac arrest on October 15, 2024 at the Pinehurst Resort, North Carolina, USA.

Marshall was the only son and the second born of Charles Omondi, formerly of the Nation Media Group and Elizabeth Akinyi Omondi of Kenya Re-Insurance Corporation.

He was the brother of Lynn Atieno Omondi and Terry Akoth Omondi.

His grandparents were Gaitano Amuga Aketch and Teresia Akum Amuga of Murueyo Village, Kathieno ‘B’, East Ugenya, Siaya County, and George Otieno and Nelly Auma Otieno of Alego Kaluo, Siaya County.

His body is lying at the Lee Funeral Home.

The Requiem Mass will be held at St Andrews Edelvale Church, Jacaranda, on November 28, 2024 from 11.00am, ahead of the departure for Ugenya, Siaya County the following day.

Marshall will be laid to rest on November 30, 2024 at the family home next to the Yogo Catholic Parish Church in Masiro, East Ugenya, Siaya County
