It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of our beloved Mary Akeyo Walala which occurred on 10th January 2021 at Matata Nursing Home-Oyugis.

Beloved wife of the late Benjamin Olwal Walala of Konyango Majieri, Kendu Bay.

Daughter to the late Charles Oduk Lang’o of Kamreri Okumba, and the late Mama Herina Sirawa Oduk.

Mother to Linet Akinyi of UK, the Late Ogaso Walala, the late Eunice Anyango, Milicent Walala of Canada, the late Charles Oduk Walala ,Irene Omondi and Pauline Nguono of Canada.

Step daughter to the late Eunice Oduk, Margret Muga Oduk, Hulda Akoko Oduk and the late Dorcas Oketch Oduk.

Sister to the late Joseph Onyango Oduk, the late George Obuya Oduk, Jimmy Oduk, Oliver Oduk, George Odondi Oduk, Ezekiel Oduk, Rose Ochako, Jane Nyala, Grace Damo, Tony Badia, Janet Shamalla among others.

Cousin to James Obaga Tindi,  Dr Julius Ojiem, Sammy Akama, Elsa Oburu, Caren Osuda, Olal Kech among others.

Mother in law to Boaz Awiti, Tom Oloo, the late Vitalis Okiri, Pamela Namtenda, Hellen Ongaso, and Christine Ogaso.

Grandmother to Maria Awiti, Dr. Sheila Awiti, Irene Sirawa Awiti, Charles Oduk Awiti, all of UK, Mary Akeyo Walat Angela Otieno, Phillip Oloo of Dubai, Collins Otieno, Kevin Owuor, Austin Samba, Donna Patricia OkIri, Luke Okirl,Winser Ogaso,Vitalis Ogaso, Mary Ogaso, Irene Ogaso, Ben Carson, Mary Betsi, Brian Onyina, Barrack Aduwo, Rael Awiti and Condolee witi.

The cortege leaves Gendia Mission Hospital Mortuary-Kendu Bay on Thursday 21st January 2021 at 02.30pm for burial at her home in Konyango Majieri, Kendu Bay on Friday 22nd January 2021 from 10am.
