MICHAEL MUTEMI MUNAVU

February 23rd, 1978 – November 13th, 2022

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the Promotion to Glory of Dr. Michael Mutemi Munavu, who passed on after a short illness on November 13th, 2022 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Mutemi was serving as the World Bank rep on Social Protection in Ethiopia.

A Mutemi was the caring, loving, and adored father to Zola and Mua, and the loving partner to their mother, Eva. He was brother-in-law to Erin (US) and Cheyanne (US), and uncle to Alexa,Adrianna, Ethan and Frankie of the USA.

Mutemi was the son of Prof. Raphael M. Munavu and the late Salome Ndinda Munavu. He was the brother of Raphael Sundiata Munavu (USA) and Fidelis Mutua Munavu (USA), and nephew to Koki Makau, Mutuku Munavu, Boniface Munavu, Agatha Mutiso and to the late Makau Munavu. He was cousin to many.

His burial will be held on November 26th, 2022 at his parental home in Mbilini Village, Kangundo Sub-County, Machakos County.

Final arrangements for the celebration of his life and final journey are taking place at his parental homes in Westlands, Nairobi and in Kangundo, Machakos.

The cortege will leave Chiromo Mortuary on Saturday November 26th, 2022 at 08.00 am for Holy Mass, followed by interment at the parental home in Kangundo starting from 11.00 am.
