MWALIMU (RTD) BERNARD MUGO KARANJA
It Is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Mwalimu (Rtd) Bernard Mugo Karanja that occurred on 13th January 2021.
He was the eldest son of the Late Mr Karanja Muruga and the late Mama Tabitha Wangechi Karanja and a step-son to Mama Mary Ngima.
He was husband to the Late Mama Sophia Wakini Mugo.
He was son – in- law to the Late Elijah Kiongo, the late Maritha Wangari and the Late Mbetha Watiri. He was brother of the late Mary, the late Wambura, Jonah, Wanjohi, Robert, the Late Julius Kangangi and the Late Susan Wambui.
He was cousin to the late Mutonyi, the Late Njanja, the Late Wa-Jonah, the Late Mbithe, the Late Njege, the Late Francis, the Late Wagichugu and Monica.
He was Brother in-law to the Late Karugi, the Late Munene, Beatrice, Lucia, the Late Mary, the Late Wangeci Julius, the Late Gitoo, Beatrice Mugure, the Late Ephraim, the Late Njaungiri, the Late Samuel Kiongo, the Late Leah, the Late Canon Manasseh, the Late Charles Kiringa, Bishop Bernard Kiongo, Mutuatigo, Mithamo, Rebecca, Phillip, the Late Muthoni, Obedi, Maina, Isaac and Kimanyl among others.
He was father to Phyllis, Jim, Kimani, the Late Muriithi, Lucy, Kiongo, Catherine, the Late Peter and John. He was a loving father-In-law to the Late Gichohl, Wangari, Kathini, the Late Kamau, Mary and Eva.
He was Uncle to Njogu, the Late Kabue, Muriuki, Robert Karanja, Karanja Julius, Wachira, Irene, Gichangi, Simon, Wangeci, George, Mwaura,the Late Harry Karanja and many others.
He was grandfather to Evalyne, George, Levi, Ron, Sinami, Mugweru, Mumbi, Ben, Mercy, Kim, Pauline, Soppy, Jeff, Vic, Sophie, Yvonne, John, Gltau, Lorna, Ian, Sophie, Sharon, Brian, Maxine, Chrisitan and Kayla among many others.
He was great grandfather to Amara, Zara, Ryan, Javakin, Victoria, Grace, Jim, Wangarl, Ivy, Brian, Nelly, Jim, Wahu and Njenga among many others.
Cortege leaves Jamii Hospital Mortuary Karatina at 9.30 am on Friday 22nd January 2021 for the Funeral service at ACK St John’s Kiburu Parish Kirinyaga.
