Newton Mwamba Onsomu

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sudden death of Newton Mwamba Onsomu that occurred on 26th March 2020 at the Nairobi West Hospital after a short illness. He was until his death an employee of KRA Nairobi.

Beloved son of Charles Onsomu Okenye and Florence Kemunto Onsomu of Capital Hotel, Kisii. Stepson of Catherine Onsomu. Loving husband of Damacline Machani and loving father of Elana Kemunto Mwamba. Brother of Angela Kerubo and Daphine Kwamboka (German), Michelle Moraa and Ryan Okenye. Grandson of the late Mzee Robinson Okenye, the late Mama Rusalia Kemunto Okenye, Mzee Zephaniah Nyareru Moracha, the late Mama Hellen Nyareru and the late Mama Askah Nyareru. Son-in-law of Meshack Machani and Jeliah Machani.

Nephew of the late Francis Nyamwaya, the late Florence Okenye, the late Hezron Getui, the late Rael Okenye, Esther Okenye (NACADA),Kennedy Nyamongo, the late Vincent Okenye, the late Precious Nyabikoro, David Bosire, Abel Meroka, Nick Moracha, David, Maraga, Joseph, Machuchu, Kepher, the late Newton, Ireene, Christine, Alima, Olpha, Naom, Mary, Eunice, Callen and Derrick. Also was a nephew of the Mwamba’s,Nyariki’s, Getui’s, Obanyi’s, Sikini’s among others. Dear cousin of Vivian, Bob, Violet, Hezborn, Robinson Okenye’s, Sarita, Christabel, Rodrick, Vincent, Chebet, Stephen, Freddy, Newton, Fridah, Noreen, Mark, Brian, Nednah, Kelvin, Moses, Bogomba, and Treasure among others. Brother -in-law of Maxwell, Cleophas and Geoffrey. Uncle of Rachael, Ricky, Adrian, Scott, Maya, Wallace and Kyla.

The burial will be held at his parent’s farm at Nyansiongo (Kijauri), Nyamira County on Friday 10th April 2020. The burial is strictly family affair in line with the current Government directive.
