PAPIAS KIBICHO MATHENGE

10th August 1940 – 7th February 2022

It is with deep sadness and sorrow that we announce the passing of Mr. Papias Kibicho Mathcnge on 7th February, 2022 following a short illness.

Son of the late Tabitha Nyambura Kibicho and late Elijah Kibicho of Kagere, Othaya. He was adoring husband to Isabella Muthoni Mathenge and loving father to Anne Nyambura Mwangoji, Jeane Wanjiku Mathenge, Linda Ngima Mathenge, Wangari Kieni and Wanjiru Mathenge. Father-in-law to Kilimo Mwangoji and Kieni Githinji.

He was brother to late Stephen Kibue, late Ngima Kibicho, late Rev. Prof. Samuel Gakuhi Kibicho, Joram Theuri, Hellina Wanjiru Kamau and the late Gikaru Kibicho. He was grandfather to Ballad and Luke Alderman, Mathenge Mwangoji, Kenah and Joel Armstrong, Atia Wanjiru, Muthoni Muna, Mbacha Kamande, Githinji Kieni, Waruiru Kieni, Mathenge Kieni, Mackenah Njeri and Mathenge Njiru. Great grandfather to Cairo Kilimo Alderman.

He will be cremated at a private family ceremony on Saturday 12th February, 2022.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday 13th February, 2022 at the Karen Community Church starting from 3pm.
