Peter Ongarora Omari

We, the Ongarora family, regret to announce the death of Peter Ongarora Omari which occurred on 28th March, 2020.

He was born in 1934 to the late Omari Getenga and the late Peninah Omenya at MwaGetenga Village, Geteri Location of Masaba South Sub-County. Husband of Bathsheba Bosibori, Keziah Moraa and Margaret Bitutu. He was blessed with twenty-three (23) children, namely: Samuel (late), Ezekiel (Nairobi), Jerusha (late), Prof. Ogoti (Maseno University), Josephine (Nakuru), Dr. iur Nyagaka (Kisii University and Advocate, Nakuru), Geoffrey (Mombasa), Joel (Nairobi), Teresa (WARMA Kisii), Dr. Dennis (UoN), Solomon, Annah (Nairobi), Stella (Tr, Ensoko), Samson (UoN), Isaac, Joash and Haron (Kenya Airways), Everline, Isaiah and Benson (Nairobi), Askah (Tr,Amabuko), Rev. Vincent (Kiamokama PAG) and Dr. Getenga (Dedan Kimathi University).

He was blessed with 57 grandchildren them being, Enid, Sarah, Dr. Atandi, Triza, Eng. Tirimba, Eunice, Kemuma, Laura, Tabitha, Job, Lucky, Bonface, Diana, Amos, Joshua, Natalie, Samuel, Mary, Dominic, Omari, Benazir, Braden and 18 great grandchildren. Son law of late Mr. & Mrs Atandi of Bonyakoni, late Mr. & Mrs. Mogeni of Gionserio and late Mr. & Mrs. Manoti of Gitembe. Brother in-law of Mr. & Mrs. Mongeri and Mr. & Mrs Joel Nyabayo (USA) and others, Hezron and others, Christopher Mairura among others.

Father-in-law of Florence, Everline, Veronicah, Dorcah, Seraphine Dorcas, Nyaboke, Henry, Irene, Jackie, Ruth, Dorcas, Janet, Peris and Nancy, and late Ogega, Eng. Matagaro, and Dr. & Dr. Mrs. Otedo, Mr. & Mrs Rotich, Mr. & Mrs. Muturi and Mr. & Mrs. Mahanga and late Mr Ayaye. Brother of Mogire, Okworo, Magoma, Kwamboka, Joyce (all deceased), Rhoda Grace. Uncle of Dr. Hezekiel Oira (MKU), Jerusha Juma, Elijah, David Morebi, Nyabuto, Nyaboke, Morara, Nyagaka, Samson and Reuben, late Mogire, Josephine, Jane, Beatrice, Walter among others.

The cortege leaves War Memorial Hospital in Nakuru on Friday, the 10th of April, 2020 for burial at his Getare Village home, Gesusu, Nyaribari Masaba.
