It is with profound grief and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Prof. Richard Nyabera Magoha in Allen, Texas, USA.

Beloved husband to Janet Achieng Magoha and father to Crystal Magoha, Ashley Magoha and Bernard Magoha all of Allen,Texas, USA.

Son to the late Mzee Bernard Boniface Magoha and the late Mama Joan Sara Aloo Dc Magoha of Ahono Ratudi Village, East Gem. Brother to the late Consolata Magoha, the late William Ogola Magoha, John Obare Magoha, Mary Owuor Magoha, the late Captain Charles Agunga Magoha, the late Michael Achianja Magoha, Prof. George Omore Magoha, Joseph Oyile Magoha and Pauline Dola.

Son-in-law to the late Mzee Charles Wanga Odwo and Mama Agnes Atieno Wanga of Yenga, Ugenya. Brother-in-law to Fredrick Omondi, Rose Akinyi, James Odhiambo, Galdys Awino, Caroline Adhiambo, Edwin Otieno, Lillian Akoth, Felicitus Ogola, Agatha Obare, Pauline Midunda, Dr. Barbra Magoha and Edwina Magoha among others.

Richard was cousin to Beatrice Dimba, Ursula Akinyi, Noela Oyoo, Raphael Tuiu, Rev. Fr. Agunga and Alfred Nyadiemo among others.

He was Uncle to Casper Owuor, Raphael Omondi,Tony Obare, Aloys Kemo, Prof. Maurine Auma Agunga, Linet Adhiambo Ogola, Lina Ogola, Oliver Ogoia, Dr. Michael Augustus Magoha, Bernard Magoha, Dr Sara Magoha and Sammy Dola among others.

The cortege will leave Aga Khan Hospital Funeral Home, Kisumu, on Saturday 28th January 2023 for a memorial requiem mass at Township Primary School, Yala, 0:00arn followed by interment at his Umiru home in Yala, Gem, Sub County.
