PROFESSOR THEODORA OLUNGA AYOT

We regret to announce the passing away of Professor Theodora Olunga Ayot, on Thursday 4th February, 2021, in Chicago, Illinois, USA. Theodora was a well-respected Professor at North Park University 1996 – 2018 and Kenyatta University 1985 – 1995. She taught at Kenya High School 1975 to 1980.

The fourth born child of Kiliopa Orwa and Priscila Ouma Orwa of Kamasengere, Rusinga Island. The beloved wife of the late Professor Henry Okelo Ayot. Daughter-in-law of the late Reuben Ayot and the late Mama Elena Ogalo Ayot. Mother of Rosemary Ayot Omwaga, Philip Ayot, James Ayot, Elaine Ayot and Ereena Ayot. Grandmother of Krystal Atieno and Daniel Songa. Sister of Miriam Wachara, Belding Wakiaga, Professor Walgio Orwa, Marren Ojode, the late Professor Katete Orwa and the late Michael Orwa.

Sister-in-law of the late Ellsama Omolo, the late Wilson Onyango, Ouma Kabwere, the late John Okinda, the late Barrack Okore, the late Olela Ayot, the late Robinson Oguta, the late Ogweno Ayot, the late Dr Minyafu Ayot, the late Richard Osodo, the late Okeyo Ayot, the late Orwa Ayot, the late Hering Kakomo, the late Rosa, Tabitha Olela, Leonida Amola, Damaris Akeyo, Philista Achola, Salina Yonga, Salina Atonga, Anyango Dolly, Achola Nyajowi, among others.

The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday 24th February, 2021, at Nairobi Central SDA Church off Jakaya Kikwete Road at 12.00pm.

Theodora will be rested at her family home in Ranen, Awendo, Migori County on Friday 26th February, 2021.
