It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Retired Headteacher Robai Nanjala Pepela.

Daughter of the late Mr. Esau Wafula Sirengo and the late Mrs. Dinah Mukhwana Wafula of Lugulu Village, Bungoma County. Daughter-in-law of the late Abraham Pepela and the late Sarah Chebukwa of Musingu Village, Kakamega County. Loving wife of the late Francis Liru Pepela. Sister of Rasoa, Ruth, Zablon, Rabecca, Loise, Samwel, Johnston, Rose, Margaret, Godwin and the late Racheal, the late Timona, and the late John.

Sister-in-law of Tutu and Nambande, the late Brig. Fredrick Kimokoti (Rtd.), James Mmasi, Manguya, Ndome, Khakasa, Nabwonya,Tunai, among others. Loving. Caring mother of John Pepela, Dr. Anthony Pepela, Jane Mugo, the Kimokotis, Mmasis, Manguyas, Wanambisis, Masindes, Wanyonyis, Nyongesas, Wanjas, among others. Auntie of the Nabukwesis, Wambwas, Sirengo and Barasas, among others.

Grandmother of Priscilla, Moses, Miriam, Lois, Aaron, Beth, Emmanuel, Elizabeth, Roy, Tessy, Walter, Cassey, Cayllan and Paulla. Great-grandmother of Chemwa Liru. Mother-in-law of Patrick Mugo, Carol Okech, Violet Masinde and Joyce Pepela. A beloved auntie to many.

The burial will take place at her Chimuche home, Malaya Sub-county, Kakamega County, on Saturday 27/11/2021.
