RTD. BISHOP JAPHET KAIRU OF AIPCK MERU DIOCESE

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Rtd. Bishop Japhet Kairu (AIPCK Meru Diocese) of Meru County, Tigania East Sub-county, Karama Ward, on Saturday 16/01/2021, at Jordan Hospital – Meru.

Husband of Mary Muleo Kairu, son of the late M’Kiunga M’Mithiulu and the late Kanaaro M’Kiunga and the late Ciomwanake M’Kiunga.

Father of the late Joshua Muriuki Kairu, Dr. Elijah Ntibi Kairu (Maua Hilltop Pharmacy), Judy Muchiri (Mbaranga Primary School), Damaris Muriuki (Nthambiro), Eng. Daniel M Kairu (KPA, Mombasa), Rebecca Karithi (Mbaranga DEB Secondary  School) and Jemimah Pius (Makandi).

Brother of Kambura Leone, Joyce Kabuko Philip, the late Isaiah M’Kiunga, Mwathimba Nyaga and Joel Ntombura.

Father-in-law of Kagendo Joshua,Angelica Ntibi, Joseph Muchiri (Karama Secondary School), Eliphas Muriuki, Purity Dan, Lawrence Karithi (Karama High School) and Pius Solomon.

Brother-in-law of Leone M’Ituiri, Philip Mungania, Sabina Isaiah, the late Nyagah Laimaru and Jane Ntombura.

Grandfather of Makena Eliud, Gacheri Gitonga, Grace Gakii, Onesmus Munene, Joseph Kimathi, Ryan, William, Enock, Junior, Brian, Lincoln, Bonface, Williamson, Amos, Winjoy, Elishamah, Immanuel, Annabel, Faith, Betty and Pretty.

Great-grandfather of Nevin, Caleb, Mutembei, Ntinyari, Mukami, Muthoni and Mugambi Junior.

Uncle of Zaverio Muturia, Zakayo, Sammy, Lawi, Judah Muriuki, Lucy, Njati, Miriti, Sarah, Karithi, Kaberia, Gatwiri and many more.

Meetings for prayers and burial arrangements are being held at his home Mbaranga (Makandi Village), Midland Hotel, Maua and Kwa Venti, Karama market from 5pm daily.

The cortege will leave Meru Funeral Home, on Friday 22/01/2021, for a requiem mass at his home church (Mbaranga AIPCK) starting at 2:00pm, followed by overnight stay at the church.

Funeral ceremony will be on Saturday 23/01/2021 at Mbaranga Primary School grounds starting at 10:00am and later burial at his home Makandi Village.
