TEDDY BAGAKA OBURU, B.SC (ETON & STAT), CIFA

We are saddened to announce the untimely death of Teddy Bagaka Oburu, formerly of Egerton University that occurred at Coptic Hospital on the 25th February, 2021.

Son to Dr. Caleb Oburu Orenge of Egerton University and Stellah Kwamboka Obwogi of Caletal Drycleaners, Ngong. Brother to Phanice Kemunto of Moi University. Grandson to the late Jeremiah Orenge Manuguti and Jeria Mong’ina Orenge; the late James Obwogi and Grace Mokeira; Musa Bagaka, Prof Joshua Bagaka’s (KCA University), Sarai Makori, Isabella Onkoba (Bugema University), Henry Bagaka, Onkoba Ongeri, James Obare, John Speke, Prof Kadenyi among others.

Nephew to Tom, Nyabuto, Penuel, Ombiro, Mary,Yunia, I rine, Bitutu, Beatrice, Joyce (NJ, USA), Ogega, George, Elizabeth (SS), Jackline, Monica (KEMRI) and Erick. Cousin to Manuguti (USA), Bagaka (Baraton), Michael (KHIBT), Magembe (Marsabit), Hannah, Enock, Lydia, Brenda (Berharin), Venah, Bagaka, Erick, Lamech, Nancy,Vincent (Garissa), the Milcas, Obed, the late Valentine, Joan, Deborah (KU), Meshack ,Gregory (EU), Mong’ina, Lydia Benta, Finley (NAPS), Trevor Niarecha Ndemo (Minessota USA),Trina Kerubo (NJ, USA), Blessing, Precious, James, Grace, Tamika (UON), Dwayne, Lashon,Wesley, Ryan, Mokeira and the Orenges.

Relatives and friends are meeting in their Ngong home for funeral arrangements.

Mini fundraising will be on Sunday 7th March at Ngong, Bounty Hotel as from 3.00PM. Main fundraising will be on Tuesday, 9th March 2021 at 680 Hotel as from 5.00PM.

The body is lying in Montezuma Mortuary. There will be a church service on 11th March at Nairobi SDA Central Church (Maxwell) at 11.00AM and thereafter the body will be taken to their Ngong home for an overnight stay. Burial will be on 12th March, 2021 in their Ngong home, Dedan Hill Estate, Kajiado North.
