We regret to announce the untimely demise of Walvice Asala Ghary of the Independent Policing Oversight Authority (IPOA) — Kisumu Regional Office, which occurred on 20th of May 2022 at the Kenyatta National Hospital, Nairobi.

Walvice was the loving son of George Ghary and Jane Vulimu. He was the grandchild to Nilfreda Musonge, Robert Musonge, Doris Ghary and Ghary Okoth. He was brother to Brian Omondi, Brandon Adika, Eugine Ghary, Wayne Odhiambo, Will Ghary and Nephew to Cleophas Atito, Mwatha Atito, Joel Odero, James Okungu, Dan Atito, Milka Ghary, Dorcus Ghary, Charity Ghary, Serah Kadenyi, Joyce Agiza. Cousin to Tom Okoth, Jentrix Engefu, Kepha Olola, Mike Ong’ong’o, Brenda Kadenyi, Loyd Omondi, Caroline Kadeyi, Eugine Otieno, Nancy Kenderi, Oscar Vitemo and many others.
Walvice was charismatic and had many friends.

He was also a student leader at University of Nairobi, Kisumu Campus where he was pursuing a Degree in Sociology.

The cortege will leave Chiromo Mortuary in Nairobi on Friday 10th June, 2022 at 8:00am. Walvice will be buried on 11th June, 2022 at Katito, Kisumu County.
