ALFRED KIMATHI M’IKIARA (“FORESTER”)

It is with profound grief and acceptance of God’s will that we announce the sudden death of Alfred Kimathi M’Ikiara (“Forester”) which occurred on 23rd June 2020 at Nairobi West Hospital.

Son of the late Solomon M’Ikiara and the late Sarah Wanja. Son-in-law of the late Elijah Mbijiwe and Zipporah Nkirote. Loving husband of Bridget Gakii Kimathi. Loving father of Jediel Mburugu (Pwc Middle East), Mercy Kanorio (Capital Sacco, Meru), Lewel Karani (JKUAT, Nairobi), Doreen Kanana (Enterprenuer). Father-in-law of Judy Makena (USIU). Brother of the late Naomi Karegi, Samuel Muriuki, Zipporah Kanugu, the fate George Kaaria, and Fredrick Mwirigi. Brother-in-law of Zipporah Kaigongi, Gitonga Mwamba, the late Stella Kathambi, Zipporah Kathure and the late M’Imanyara Nthai. Cousin, uncle and mentor to many.

The family and friends are meeting at his home in Githongo, Meru and also virtually for prayers and funeral arrangements.

The cortege leaves Nairobi West Hospital for the funeral service and burial to be held on Thursday 2nd July 2020 at his rural home, Meru Central, Abothuguchi West, Githongo, Kibaranyaki Sublocation, Kamwonyone.

Forester, you have fought a good fight; you have kept the faith, and you have finished the race. Fare thee well husband, dad, brother, cousin, uncle, friend and mentor. We love you so much and you will forever remain in our hearts.
