BEATRICE WANGUI GITHINJI (WAKAMWERE)

1922-2021

A life so beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered. Please join us in mourning the passing of our beloved matriarch Beatrice Wangui Githinii (Wakamwere) which occurred on Wednesday 6th January 2021.

Wakamwere was the wife of the late Harrison Githinji Chachi and co-wife of the late Elizabeth Wanyi Githinji (Wakariu).

She was the sister of the late Waigumo, late Karaya, late Kanyari and Wahome, and the sister-in-law of the late Rugiro, late Emily, late Wangari, Njigua Chachi and late Waigumo.

She was the mother of the late Eng. Chachi Githinji, Eng. Kamwere Githinji, Mary Waithiegeni & Maina Githinji.

She was the mother in law of Serah Chachi, Jane Kamwere, Eng. Cyrus Kamau & Caroline Maina. She was the step mother of the late Chachi, Mbaire, the late Kariu and Njeri.

She was the grandmother of Githinji, Esther & Wangui Chachi, Nderitu, Githinji Chachi Kamwere, Michelle & Kabura Kamau, Morris, Wangui, Ng’endo, Waithiegeni and Githinji Maina, Eva & Githinji Chachi, Githinji, Martin, Chachi & Kimathi Kariu.

Great grandmother of Muthoni, Kamwere, Muchemi, Ndegwa, Waruta, Elsa, Mwihaki, Chachi and Kariu and a great friend to many.

Meetings will be held at Maina and Carol’s home on Friday 8th and Wednesday 13th January 2021 from 5:00 to 7:00PM.

There will be a memorial service at the same venue on Sunday 10th January 2021 at 2:00PM.

The cortege leaves Montezuma Thika Road on Saturday January 16th at 07:OOAM followed by burial at her home Muthuthi-ini Village, Gikondi Location, Mukurweini Sub County, Nyeri County.
