It is with humble acceptance of God’s will & gratitude that we announce the passing on of Mr. Charles Dienya Alai – Former Senior Agricultural Field Officer – Kisumu

Son of the late Mzee Robert Alai Nyaoke & the late Lein Angujo Owiti.

Husband to the late Margaret Alaro Dienya and Magdalene Dienya.

Father to the late Douglas Odera, Ben Ogal (deceased), Phoebe Akella, Rose Ndiga (Retired Principal), Patrick Dienya (CDC – Kisumu), Tom Odhiambo (Ministry of Agriculture), Amos Dienya (Headteacher – Yogo School), Lawrence Dienya, Monica Ombuya, Pamela Anyango, Everlyne Ochieng, Sarah Obunde (D/Headteacher), Mary Shimbiro, the late Julius Nyaoke, Dorina Munde, the late Patrice Lumumba, Dr. Tom Dienya (Senior Lecturer – UoN) & Ayub Dienya (Pharmacist) Brother to John Ouko, Francis Muga, Spencer Aoko, the late Hezron Rabari, the late Onyango Alai, the late Deborah Alai, Jacob Oulo &Walter Ondiek.

Father in law to Mary Odera (deceased), Elizabeth Ogal, Gertrude Odhiambo, Ruth & Joyce Ouma, Rose & Jecinter Opiyo, Sarah Dienya, Lucy & Irene Alai.

He had 58 grandchildren & several great-grandchildren.

The cortege leaves Aga Khan Hospital Mortuary on 4th March, 2022. Burial will be at his home in Pawteng’ Village, Awasi, on the 5th of March, 2022 from 9.00am.
