CHARLES KIMITI MAITHO

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing on of Charles Kimiti Maitho, formerly of the Controller & Auditor General’s Office, that occurred on 9th July, 2022

Son of the late Solomon Maitho Gathangira and the late Jane Nyawira Maitho and the late Wachuka. Beloved husband of Agnes Waruguru. Son-in-law to the late Bilha and William Njoro (Matu). Doting father to Rose Kimiti, Eunnah Kimiti, Anne Kabugo, Hellene Kimiti, Anthony Maitho and the late Annah Kathambi Maitho.

Loving brother to the late Kagunda, the late Kimaru, the late Gathoni, SG Maitho (Wakamacho), Nyokabi, Guandaru, Mwangi and Weru. Step-brother to the late Mithamo, the late Mathung’wa and Wainuku.

Brother-in-law to the late Mary,Wambura, Gathigia,Wangari, the late Njoki, Purity, the late Herina, Mirigo and Kabata.

Adoring grandfather to Joy, Charles, Angel, Jonathan, Bilha, Jay and Ethan. Great-grandfather to Talia and Arianna.

In-law to Benjamin Mutia. Uncle to many and a friend of everyone.

Daily meetings are being held every evening at his home in Gathare Village, Gaikuyu Sub-location, Magutu Location in Nyeri and the last Nairobi meeting will be held at the All Saints Cathedral – Nairobi, on Monday 18th July, 2022 from 5.00pm to 8.00pm.

The cortege will leave Coptic Hospital Mortuary at 7.00am on Wednesday 20th July, 2022 followed by a funeral service at 10.00am at PCEA – Magutu Church and interment at his home in Gathare.
