Christopher Kiprop Boen (Columbus)

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the sudden passing on of Christopher Kiprop Boen (Columbus) of Sosiot village, Keiji Sub- Location, Uasin-Gishu County on 17th February, 2020 after a short illness.

Son of the late Kibowen Cheptalam (Cherinyit) and the late Soti Chebii. Loving husband of Fransisca Kiprop and Kobilo Kiprop. Brother of Josphine (Tamurei). Cousin of the late Cheronye, Saieh Chepkeitany, Atanas, Philip, Petero, the late Barnaba, Nichola, Mathew Kibet (Rtd Chief – Kaptagat) and Tapsagaa (Kapnyerere).

Son-in-law of Kiptuwei and Kimoi of Kaptaiwa – Chebokokwo, Chebiego and Kopkarigogo of Chang’ach Barak. Father of Martin Kiprop, Lilian Rono, the late Lazarus Kiprop, David Kiprop (DCC, Taita), Paul Kiprop (NACC, Eldoret), Josephine Kiptum (Nurse, EMC), Elizabeth Ngwiko (Sosiot Primary), Catherine Kimutai, Margaret Kiprop, Pauline Cherop (Kapsoya Sec. School), the late Anne Chelabul, Samuel Kiprop (The National Treasury and Planning), Beatrice Salil (Kimumu Dispensary) and Joyce Kiptoo (Mediheal Hosp).

Father-in-law of Nancy Kosgei (MTRH), Beatrice Cheruiyot, Dorcas Kaptuya (Nairobi Water), Julius, Burton, Isaac, Godfrey (Eld. Business Man), Kiptum (Prisons), Michael (Emil P. School), Hosea (St. Patricks- Iten) and Charles (KEFRI- Kisumu). Uncle of Chebochok, Barnaba (BC) and Chepkoech. The late Boen left behind 41 grand childen and three great grand-children.

Family and friends are meeting daily at his home, Sosiot, for prayers and burial arrangements.

The cortege leaves MTRH Mortuary on Friday 28th February, 2020 at 11am, burial ceremony will be held on Saturday, 29th February, 2020 at his home.
