The Ministry of Education, State Department for Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET), the Kisii National Polytechnic, Governing Council Management and Mwanyamongo Family is saddened to announce the death of the Chief Principal Daniel Nyariki Onywoki. Which occurred on 19th January 2024 ac Aga Khan University Hospital – Nairobi.

Beloved husband to Lucy Nyambura Nyariki (Principal Kiaboyoru Girls Sec Sch). Father to Dr. Kelvin Nyamonyo and James Muchiri of Nairobi. Father-intaw to Dr. Lydia Moraa and Marcella Kebabe. Grandfather to Kelly Kameon Nyariki and Lucia Amanda.

Son to the late Mzee Robinson Onywoki, Jemima Nyaboke and Mellen Onywoki. Son-in-law to James Muchiri and Monica Wanjru of Gatamaiyu Village, Kiambu County.

His uncles are; the late Marwoka, the late Mosomi, the late Misoka and Elder Newton Bonyi (USA) and Gilbert Oigo.

His aunts are; the late Bosoga, the late Nyamisa, Grace, the late Kerebi, Nyaboke, Moraa, Bosibori and Hellen Bonyi (USA), Dr. Jones Mokua, Charles, the late Gari and Onano, Moraa, Nyarinda and Mosomi Mokua.

Brother to Joel Mokua, Alice Gesare (Principal Isena Girls), George Morara (Ibara D.O.K), the late Enock Ong’era, Jackline Kembo, Kinanga, Nyanaro, Diana, Nyabeta, Rango, Sangaka, Joseph Nyamongo and others. Daily meetings are on at Garden Square – Nairobi and Kisii Mwalimu Hotel.

The fundraising will take place both in Nairobi-680 Hotel and Kisii – Mwalimu Hotel on Tuesday, 6th February 2024 at 2.00pm.

A requiem service will be held at Liberty Christian Centre, South B on Tuesday 6th February 2024 from 2.00 pm.

The cortege will leave Montezuma Monalisa Funeral Home – Nairobi, for his Home in Kiabonyoru, Nyamira County for a church service on 8 February, 2024 at 10.00a.m. Thereafter, the cortege will leave for Kisii National Polytechnic and then later for an overnight vigil at his home in Gesonso, Kisii County. The funeral service will take place on Friday, 9th February, 2024.
