DAUDI KIPKIRUI CHIRCHIR

It is with deep regret and a heavy heart to inform you of the death of Daudi Kipkirui Chirchir which occurred on Sunday, 14th November 2020. He was born in January, 1951 in Kabokyek Village, Soliat Ward, Soin/Sogowet Sub-county, Kericho County.

He was the first born son of the late Kipchirchir Kirui and the late Rebbeca Tapkurgoi Kirui, Step-son to Esther Kira He was brother to Ezekiel Chirchir, Trine Sigel, Musa Chirchir, Joel Chirchir, Reuben Chirchir and Julius Chirchir and Step-brother to Rhodah, Loise and Edna. Brother-in-law to Alice, Late Jonah, Esther, Eucaphate and Irine.

The late Daudi Chirchir got married to Mrs. Alice Chepkosgei Chirchir daughter of the late Philip Tirop and Mary Tirop of Chelokong’Village in 1972 and were blessed with nine children namely: The late Japheth Kipng’etich, Simion Kirui (Pastor, Chemaluk Church of Christ), the late Emily Chebet, Sally Dorothy Chepkorir, Beatrice Chepkoech Cheserek (University of Eldoret), Elson Kirui (KeRRA), Zeddy Chemutai, Robert Kirui (KeRRA) and Mercy Cheptoo. He was brother-in-law to Esther Bert, Dinah Mutai, the late Samuel Rono, the late Reuben Rono, Richard Rono, Daniel Rono and Emily Kirui.

Daudi was father in-law to Nancy (FASINA Insuance Agency), Eng. Edwin Cheserek (KeRRA), Eucaphate, Fredrick Maiyo (Elgeyo Marakwet County) and Sharon. He was a caring grandfather to Faith, Ezra, Enock, Daisy, Brian, Emmanuel, Purity, Abigail, Solomon, Phoebe, Angie, Joy Cheruto, Rehema, Joy Jelagat and Petra. The late Daudi was a loving uncle to many nieces and nephews.

His body will leave Lazurus Funeral Home-Kericho on Thursday 26th November 2020 at 2pm for a church service at Chemaluk Church of Christ and an overnight to be followed by a funeral service on Friday 27th November, 2020 beginning 10:30am at Kabokyek Primary School and later burial at his home Kabokyek Village.
