Death and Funeral Announcement of Douglas Marangu M’Murugu

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the transition to glory of Douglas Marangu M’Murugu that occurred in Mother and Child Hospital, Nairobi on 28th of February 2020 after a long illness.

Loving husband of the late Faith Kajuju Marangu. First born son of the late Henry M’Murugu and Estill Karuki M’Murugu. Loving son in law of the late Robert M’ikiugu and Evangeline M’Ikiugu. Loving father of Stachys and Kinya Ntwiga, Peterson and Anne Kirimi, James and Njeri Kinoti, Martin and Nkatha Murithi, Eric and Anne Koome. Uncle of many nephews and nieces. Cherished grandfather of Ewin Mwenda, Allen Munene, Nicole Nkatha,Ashley Wangari, Justine Munene, Jessy Mutuma, Ryan Kimathi, lan Mugambi, Ethan Murugami, and Nathan Kirimi. Douglas Marangu was brother of Elizabeth and the late Kubai, Gerald and Catherine Mwiti, Dr. and Lucy Murugu, John and Harriet Thuranira, Muthee and Stella Katheru, Francis and Makena Mbwiri,Tabitha and the late Eng. Mugambi, Stephen and Kanario Muthee, Simon and Lucy Kimathi, the late Titus Bundi, the late Kithinji Murugu, Peter and Dorcas Mutethia. Brother-in-law of Erastus and Regina Kiugu, Patrick and Grace Kaaria, Kathure and the late Kaburu Bauni, Kimathi and Kinanu Kiugu.

Friends and family are meeting daily at his home in Kaithe village, Kinoru, Meru and in Nairobi on Tuesday 3rd, Wednesday 4th and Thursday 5th March 2020 at All Saints Cathedral, Kenyatta Avenue, at 5:30 PM for prayers and burial arrangements.

The cortege leaves Montezuma Monalisa Funeral Home, Thika Road Branch on Friday 6th of March 2020 at 06:00 Am for All Saints Kinoru Methodist Church Meru, thereafter to his home in Kaithe Village, Kinoru to lay his body to rest.
