DR. GEOFFREY MBAABU M’MUBUONGO

We are saddened to announce the sudden death of Dr. Geoffrey Mbaabu M’Mubuongo of Muthara, Meru,Tigania East, which occurred on 6th March 2023, at AAR Hospital.

Son of the late M’Mubuongo M’Kiribua and the late Margaret Ciobatuila M’Kiribua. Step-son to the late Nculubi and Ciobaibaya M’Kiribua. Brother to Peter Marimba, David Mwenda, Monicah Mwonjaru, and the late Mwamukui.

Husband to Anne Gathoni Mbaabu. Father to Michael and Morgan Mbaabu, Anthony and Genevieve Mbaabu, and Enid Kabura. Grandfather to Amira, Jasmine, and Malaika Mbaabu, Megan Kathure and Blessings Njagi.

Son-in-law to the late Silvanus Kuria and the late Elizabeth Njeri Kuria, of Kihingo, Riabai, Kiambu County. An in-law to Francie and Greg Gillis and Dawn Macfarlane and Brett Smith of Canada.

Brother-in-law to Philomena and late Michael Waweru, Lawrence and Grace Ngamau, Sally Muchori, Francis and Jane King’e, Lucy Kuria, Stella and Lucas Njoroge, Fidelis and Joseph Kimotho, Kamau Kuria and Mercy Kamau. Uncle to many.

Family and friends are meeting at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Parish, Kiambu Road, on Friday 10th March from 5.30pm and on Sunday, 12th March, 2023 from 5.00pm, for prayers and burial preparations.

There will be a memorial service to celebrate his life at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Parish, Ridgeways, Kiambu Road, on Tuesday 14th March, 2023 at 2.00pm.

The cortege will leave KU Referral Hospital Mortuary on Wednesday 15th at 6.00am, for burial service at Nchuui Methodist Church grounds, Muthara, Meru, at 11.30 am, followed by burial at his home in Amuruyu.
